Our generation has made the dating game so misconstrued that it’s more acceptable to have sex with someone than to hold their hand, or in some cases, kiss them, because those things are considered real intimacy; not sex. To hold someone’s hand, kiss them on the mouth, or cuddle with them holds a hell of a lot more weight than sex because there is the implication of romance, and in a society where romance has become a luxury, we reserve simple gestures like that for people who mean more to us than a call at 2am asking to ‘come and chill’.
